John and Kristy
It was his birthday and I had planned a romantic getaway to a little bed and breakfast. I wanted this night to be very special.... little did I know this night would change our lives for ever.
We sat at the best table in the house and ordered wine and dinner.
As in all fancy restaurants, the bread basket came and he asked me
to butter him a piece. I opened the napkin that surrounded the bread
and there was a little red box. My heart stopped in it's tracks - he
said I gave him the deer in the headlights look. He started to get
nervous because I was so stunned that I could say nothing.
He then came over to my side of the table and got on his knee and said some very
beautiful words, including "Will you marry me?" I said, "YES...of course!"
Little did I know that he had been to the Bed and Breakfast before we
arrived and set everything up.
After dinner, which we didn't eat because of our nerves, we went up to our room....
another surprise...he had rose petals all over the bed leading to one single rosebud.
There were candles burning and the most beautiful card.
It was amazing. This was a night I will never forget.
I am marrying the man of my dreams!
