Santana Row |
Every city relies on vibrant neighborhoods. For most, this means a place to relax, shop, or meet a friend for coffee and a stroll along a sunny, tree-lined street.
We are Federal Realty Investment Trust, and with Santana Row, we developed a real urban neighborhood that provides a vibrant and diverse mix of shopping, dining, entertainment and living designed to enhance the individual experience.
We've focused on building urban neighborhoods - featuring a combination of unique boutiques, national and regional stores and wonderful local restaurants. Santana Row is our newest neighborhood and we consider it our most exciting endeavor to date.
The name is borrowed from Santana Park -a nearby half-acre park that will actually be incorporated into Santana Row. In addition to the park, we have taken great care to incorporate a rich landscape including hundreds of trees and several green spaces. In fact, during the initial clearing of the site we were able to save fourteen 40-year-old oak trees and 26 palm trees from destruction. The trees have a new home at Santana Row.
Our mission is to create urban spaces that are not just shopping centers, but dynamic, people and pedestrian-oriented places that people can look forward to visiting again and again.

Winchester Mystery House |
In 1884, a wealthy widow named Sarah L. Winchester began a construction project of such magnitude that it was to occupy the lives of carpenters and craftsmen until her death thirty-eight years later. The Victorian mansion, designed and built by the Winchester Rifle heiress, is filled with so many unexplained oddities, that it has come to be known as the Winchester Mystery House. Sarah Winchester built a home that is an architectural marvel. Unlike most homes of its era, this 160-room Victorian mansion had modern heating and sewer systems, gas lights that operated by pressing a button, three working elevators, and 47 fireplaces. From rambling roofs and exquisite hand inlaid parquet floors to the gold and silver chandeliers and Tiffany art glass windows, you will be impressed by the staggering amount of creativity, energy, and expense poured into each and every detail.
