Making Your Christian Wedding
a Blessed Event - Page 1 of 3
If you are the same kind of Christian bride that I
was, then you want your wedding to be something truly
special in the eyes of those attending it. You want
your guests to remember your wedding for a long time
to come - not because of the kind of cake you served,
but because of the kind of people you are. Most importantly,
you want them to actually experience the bond of love
that exists between you and your future spouse.
How can you do this? How can you share your love and
create that kind of atmosphere? Well, I have a few practical
suggestions for you for before your wedding, the ceremony,
and the reception that my husband and I actually did
for our Christian wedding, and we feel were a success.
Before the wedding
When you attend most weddings, you may know a bit about
either the bride or the groom, but chances are you do
not know a lot about both of them and especially them
as a couple. This is why I think it is important for
your guests to get to know you as a twosome before your
wedding. Your wedding will be more significant to your
guests if they know more about you, how you fell in
love, and all that good romantic stuff.
Before our wedding even happened, we created a website
through Bwedd.com.
We put the address at the bottom of our invitations
and emphasized that our guests should take a look at
it. On our site, we told our guests how excited we were
to be seeing them soon and how much joy they were bringing
to us by attending our wedding. We told the story of
how we met and how Matt proposed. We wrote notes about
our wedding party and thanked them for being a part
of our wedding. We were even able to have a quiz about
our relationship, wedding, and future plans, for our
guests to take. Our website brought our distant relatives
and friends of our parents into our relationship and
they came to our wedding feeling like they really knew
us.
